OOTDBuy Warehouse Storage Guide.
The official storage notice gives normal parcels 90 days from “received” and abnormal parcels 30 days from “signed for.” Check each item’s recorded status and expiry date before waiting for another purchase or arranging a combined shipment.
Check each item’s storage dates
The official Storage notice, checked 22 October 2026, distinguishes two cases:
| Parcel status | Period and starting point | Reminder and expiry |
|---|---|---|
| Normal purchasing or forwarding parcel | 90 days from order status “received”. | The notice describes an email near expiry; overdue goods may be treated as abandoned and disposed of. |
| Abnormal or unmatched parcel | 30 days from order status “signed for”. | A reminder may not be possible because the parcel cannot be matched to an order and user; overdue goods may be disposed of. |
The notice establishes storage duration but does not itself establish that every storage service is free. Confirm charges, extensions and special handling separately. A storage deadline also does not extend a seller’s return window.
Open the item in your account and check its warehouse status, receipt date and storage deadline. The date you placed an order may be different from the date the warehouse received it.
Use the storage period shown for that item. If no clear deadline is displayed, ask support to confirm how long it can stay and when the period starts. Keep a note of the confirmed date.
| Record | What to note |
|---|---|
| Order and item | Order reference, product name and chosen option. |
| Warehouse receipt | The status and receipt date shown for that item. |
| Storage deadline | The displayed expiry date, or the date confirmed by support. |
| Checks still needed | Any missing QC view, measurement, return decision or parcel-matching issue. |
| Shipping plan | The intended parcel and any approved extension or special arrangement. |
Follow up on parcels missing from your account
If tracking says a parcel was delivered but it does not appear in your account, contact support with the tracking number, order number and delivery record.
A parcel with missing or incorrect order details may need to be identified before it can be added to your account. Ask which storage rules apply while this is being resolved. Do not rely on an automatic reminder.
For example, a carrier may show delivery while the item is still absent from your account. Check that the tracking number belongs to the purchase you are looking for, save the delivery record and ask support to locate that parcel. A carrier delivery scan alone does not tell you which storage status or deadline applies to it.
Check returns and QC early
Review the quality check (QC) photos, size, color and measurements soon after the item arrives. A seller’s return deadline is separate from the warehouse storage deadline.
Keep tags, seals and packaging while checking whether a return is possible. Read the returns and refunds guide before asking for changes to the packaging.
Suppose two items arrive on different dates and you want to ship them together. Record each item’s own deadline. Waiting for the newer item does not automatically change the older item’s storage or return dates. Check the older item first when deciding whether to wait or arrange a separate parcel.
Plan shipping before the deadline
Arrange shipping or contact support before storage expires. Overdue items may be treated as abandoned and disposed of under the applicable storage terms.
Check the delivery address, shipping service, packaging choices and current quote. Allow time to resolve missing information instead of leaving everything until the deadline.
Ask about fees or extra storage time
If you need more time, ask whether an extension is available, what it costs and when it would end. Do not assume extra time has been approved until it is confirmed.
Confirm any storage or handling charges for your items. For goods with an expiry date or special storage needs, check those separately. Use the shipping cost guide to plan the parcel.
- Ask whether an extension is available for the specific items.
- Confirm when the current storage period ends and the proposed new deadline.
- Ask whether storage, handling or other charges would apply.
- Check whether anything else is required to approve the arrangement.
- Keep the written confirmation with the relevant order references.
If the storage deadline is close
Check what is preventing shipping: an unfinished QC check, a missing item, an address issue or a quote you have not accepted. Tell support the specific obstacle and ask which options are available before the recorded deadline.
If one item is delaying a larger parcel, compare waiting with shipping the ready items separately. Include any extra shipping or handling charges in that decision. Do not assume a new request, a payment attempt or an unanswered message has extended storage.
Is warehouse storage automatically free?
Check the terms for your items and any special services or extensions. A storage deadline by itself does not explain every charge that may apply.
Does a return request pause storage?
Ask support how the active request affects that item. Keep both dates recorded until any change is confirmed.
Will I receive a reminder?
Check the dates yourself. A parcel that has not been matched to your account may not generate a useful reminder, and a missing reminder does not establish extra storage time.
Decide whether to wait for another item
Illustrative scenario: one item has a displayed storage deadline in seven days while a second purchase has no confirmed arrival date. Waiting might reduce the number of outbound parcels, but it also leaves the older item exposed to expiry. Compare the full cost of shipping it now with an explicitly approved extension, rather than assuming consolidation is always cheaper.
Before waiting for another item, compare the older item’s deadline with the expected arrival date. The fees and shipping guide helps you compare declaration and parcel charges for a combined shipment or separate parcels.
